Classic Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups flour

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ cup cold butter

  • ⅔ cup milk

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries

  • Whipped cream 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly.

  3. Stir in milk until dough forms.

  4. Drop onto baking sheet and bake 12–15 minutes.

  5. Split biscuits, layer strawberries and whipped cream.
